The materials in this project will give students an opportunity to explore science concepts that we have learned or will learn in the future. They are all hands-on materials that the students will be able to manipulate and explore in free choice center baskets.
The students love having the ability to choose what they will be exploring during their free choice time. The materials in this project will give students more resources to have hands-on experiences. Being able to have hands-on science materials makes science more engaging for students. This enables students to take chances during exploration that they may not have otherwise done.
My goal is for the students to understand that science is everywhere and to give them the opportunity to explore the world around them. Since students choose baskets that look fun, the materials will be well used and they will learn at the same time.
