eLearning with an iPad
Funded Aug 31, 2020I would like to take this opportunity to say thank you once again for your kind and generous donations! You have made an enormous impact on our distance learning experience during such difficult times. Even though we are now back in brick and mortar, the students felt that we were able to get a lot accomplished while learning from home using this new technology. We are still able to use our iPad and pencil in the classroom for various activities. Students who may not have a mobile device to bring to school are able to continue to complete and turn in their assignments because I am able to have an iPad with me in the classroom. I am very thankful that we were able to have this great resource this year and hope to come up with more creative projects in the future.”

Stability Balls for Successful Learning
Funded Nov 12, 2017The students in my class could not be more excited about the new seats we have in our classroom. The boys and girls absolutely love the option that they have to use stability balls in class while learning new skills in Math, Science and Social Studies. When our office staff walked into the classroom with boxes, the students knew exactly what was inside and they were thrilled. They could hardly contain their excitement when I opened the packages to verify that it was in fact our new seats. It took us a few days to be able to pump up all of the stability balls (students even offered to bring in their own bicycle pumps and help me fill the balls during their Physical Education time).
Since we have had our new stability balls for flexible seating in the classroom, I have seen a positive change in both student behavior and academic success. Students have been more focused on their assignments and as a result they have been able to improve their grades in class. There have been less distractions of students getting up and out of their seats in the middle of a class lesson due to being uncomfortable, which is fantastic! With less distractions like that, students have been able to maintain focus on with assigned task rather than why other students are up and out of their seats.
Overall, the stability balls have been a major hit in our class and we cannot wait to continue to thrive as successful fourth grade students!”
