Replenishing Our Supplies
Funded Mar 29, 2023Thank you for contributing to our classroom. Having more supplies to use as a class is always a great way to get students to interact with one another. We are able to make anchor charts together to guide students through various math skills and strategies while completing their independent work. Students are also able to see what standard they are working to master in student friendly words to provide accountability for their education. Thank you again for your generous donations, our classroom runs more efficiently when we aren't warring about running out of materials.”

Funded Nov 30, 2022The surprised look on my students' faces when I brought out the privacy boards was amazing! They were so excited to be able to sit at their own desk while completing an assessment instead of having to spread out around the classroom to have distance between themselves. They even loved the fact that the privacy boards game in different colors!
Today, we took our first assessment using our new privacy boards and I am happy to report that students said they were able to pay more attention to to their assignment than before. They commented saying they were not as distracted as before since the boards were tall enough to block out other students around them.
Thank you for helping to fund our project, we really appreciate you!”

Funded Sep 6, 2022Let me start by saying the students LOVE the classroom store! They are fully engaged in keeping track of how much classroom money they have earned to be able to purchase an item they have been eyeing in the store. This has been a great start to the new year as students are constantly on their toes trying to earn these prizes. Their favorite items have been pop its and slime. They even enjoy the different pencil options available to use in class. Thank you for making this possible in my classroom as it has been both fun and interactive for my students. I hope to continue to create projects for students to enjoy throughout the year.”

Funded Jun 14, 2022Thank you for your generous donations to the start of our new school year. Due to the changes that have been made to education in Florida, our classroom resources had to make an adjustment.
By donating to my classroom project, I was able to get a Teachers Pay Teachers gift card which gave me the ability to purchase new displays for the classroom that will allow for students to better understand Mathematics.
A new place-value number-line was purchased that allows students to get up and out of their seats to physically move digits making them greater or smaller based on the question. Students have truly enjoyed being able to interact with a number line that is on display in the classroom.
Another great resource that was purchased was a place value pumpkin activity. This is giving students the practice they need to work with numbers while also allowing them to enjoy a fall classroom activity. They are able to decorate their pumpkin and we plan to display around the room once students have completed the activity.”

When we first took out the recess equipment, students commented on how it was like a gift from the community just for them. They were so excited, they could not choose which toy to play with first!

The chickens will give our students the opportunity to interact with a new fluffy friend. They will be able to learn about and see, the life cycle of a chicken. Getting Ready for FSA
Funded Feb 9, 2021Thank you very much for your generous donations for my classroom. With the amount of change students have had to overcome this year, having these Florida Assessment resources available to them will help them prepare for the big test. With the Teachers Pay Teachers gift card, I was able to purchase interactive Science PowerPoints that will make reviewing for the state exams a fun and enjoyable experience for the students. I was also able to purchase FSA Math review cards for students to have digitally.
I am hoping to continue to inspire young students' educational pathways to ensure that they have a bright future ahead of them. Thanks to you, I can give my students fun way to review all that they have learned this year!”

eHearing while eLearning
Funded Sep 21, 2020I cannot begin to thank you for all of your support during this new way of learning. Because of you, students were able to get the best opportunity possible to achieve their academic goals.
Having a reliable way to communicate with students during e-learning was one of the most important pieces to our puzzle. The new airpods gave me the opportunity to have good communication with my students and ensured that voices were being heard.
Even now that we are back in the school building for classes, I am able to maintain good communications with students during dual-modality lessons. If students are home, they can still participate in classroom lessons and communicate with me.
Thank you again for your support! The helping hands from our community is what makes learning a success.”

Mrs. Colvenback
