  • Essentials We NEED!

    Thank you! We received you generous donation at Miami Northwestern Senior High School and it means the world to my students. Because of you, I am able to provide my students with the basic essentials that they need. 99% of the school population here at Miami Northwestern are on free or reduced lunch. They live in very low socio-economic areas and do not have the resources others have the privilege of having. I was able to provide students with little tokens and snacks to fuel their brains and prepare for class.

    When the students saw the packages they were ecstatic and could not believe that people would donate to a great cause. Through this project, I was able to show students that there are people in the world that care about them and those people are not always people that they directly come in contact with. The students are very appreciative of the packages. I am forever grateful for your donations and can not thank you enough for you generosity.”

This project will help my students understand their changing bodies and emotions and embrace who they are with confidence. Keeping their bodies clean is an important part of keeping the students healthy and helping them to to feel good about themselves. Students must feel good about themselves to intrinsically motivate themselves to do well. They are in need of toothpaste, soap, deodorant and snacks because they live in low socioeconomic areas. Students have expressed their needs for these items. I would like my students to feel confident about coming to school and being a part of the school's community. I know students will be happy to have these products.

About my class
