I want to make science and learning fun for my scholars. Through hydroponics, they will see and experience first hand how seeds grow. Not only are they learning about the life cycle of a seed, but they will get to literally reap what they sew.
Scholars will learn how to care for these plants and take responsibility for a living thing. They will have the chance to grow something they will eventually eat themselves. Starting from only a seed, scholars will plant, water, grow and harvest these plants as they learn about living and nonliving things, life cycles, and even social skills like caring for other.
