21st Century Art
Funded Dec 10, 2019Thank you so much for your generosity. So far my students started to experiment with the new drawing tablets that connect to the computers. They are so excited to use the electronics they I have to pry them away from the computer as the bell rings! I have many students who are interested in the graphic arts and are using these for an art competition. I addition to this I have students using these programs to develop their portfolio for college. You are so exceedingly generous and I am very grateful for your donations.”

Funded Dec 31, 2018Thanks to your generosity my students have been granted the opportunity to work with a variety of materials they have never used before in their lifetime. The materials provided to my classroom helped students create self-portraits, experiment with color theory and other experimental art process and techniques.
The students were very excited to see the new art supplies in the classroom. Many of them were a bit unsure and apprehensive about the materials because they were afraid of getting messy. This was short lived once they started seeing how the material worked and the quality of color the materials produced.
The students have taken care of the materials and and used them wisely so that we have materials left for next year. It is quite exciting that the materials will have a life beyond this years students.”

Funded Dec 12, 2018Thank you for your generous contribution. My students are excited to have the use of tape to add to their sculpture projects. They get to explore the use of positive and negative space as well as how to portray movement. They are currently working on creating life size figures made from tape. This has opened their eyes to how everyday materials can be used to create art. Additionally, students who have chosen to create cardboard sculptures have been able to use the glue you have generously helped to provide for my students.”

Emotional Architecture
Funded Mar 27, 2018Thank you so much for your generous contribution to my art classroom. My students had the opportunity to explore creating three dimensional drawings using one and two-point perspective. They used the pencils and rulers to create these wonderful works of art. Additionally they explored how color can trigger emotion in through the use of water color. Many of my students have never used watercolor pencils before. This allowed them an experience they would not have otherwise had.
My students we so excited to find out that we could use watercolor and watercolor pencils. They were in awe of the variety of techniques this allowed them. They were also very excited to learn that we now have t squares and rulers to use on a regular basis for this project as well as other projects to come!
Students will soon be moving on into a watercolor portrait series where they use color to reflect a variety of moods they have. Another section of art will be drawing portraits using photo realism and grid systems. They will use the rulers you provided out classroom with for this project.”
