I teach students who can't handle the rigor of the Common Core standards and will not earn a high school diploma. One of the focus areas is job skills. All of our students will work on and off campus and coffee cart is a huge asset to this program. Students serve coffee and snacks to teachers each morning. This year we are trying to give students the opportunity to be a barista and increase their coffee skills by making lattes, and more by using a cappuccino machine. The coffee carafes keep the coffee hot while taking it to the teachers' room. Students also learn how to use money and make change when teachers and staff purchase items.
