Instructional Coach Wishes
Funded Sep 26, 2023First and foremost I want to say a huge thank you. My students and I owe you a debt of gratitude with all that you have provided for our school. The items that I have had the opportunity to picture here, I know there are only a few, have made a huge impact on the learning of the students in my building.
Students have enjoyed utilizing the magnetic tiles in many ways. They are used for letter recognition in kindergarten small groups, utilized with 1st grade blending and spelling, and in 2nd grade they have used them as they have been creating sentences in our Tier 2 and Tier 3 groups.
The wobble chairs have done a wonderful job for our small groups and utilizing them for our students that need that little extra wiggle while they learn have been given that opportunity in not just my small groups but the small groups of others.
We have started to work on telling time with our students and our Judy Clock has made things much easier to see from many areas of the room.
We can't express our thankfulness enough. We look forward to utilizing all of the materials that we were able to purchase with your amazing gift.”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Ray

Funded Aug 11, 2020I can not begin to tell you how powerful the donations you provided for my project has helped my students this year. In this difficult time for students everywhere, your added help that has meant the world to them. They have been able to continue to work from home with the new devices you helped us get. You helped provide students that usually have to share with a sibling or go without a device the capability of using one of the devices purchased with y our donation this year.
I am beyond grateful for your help. My students have been able to connect with not only myself through Zoom for online learning but they have been able to connect with classmates through Zoom. Having those interactions are so crucial in a young students life. The social and emotional impact that this pandemic has had on them is difficult to navigate especially without daily interactions. Through the use of the devices you helped to purchase, I have been able to do just that, connect with all of my students through the gift of technology.
They have been able to explore and discover new ways of learning by having technology at their finger tips. We are all truly grateful for this amazing gift. I am glad to know that this gift will not only help my students this year but will continue to help my students for years to come. Thank you so much.”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Ray

Funded Nov 28, 2018Life in room 201 has changed significantly since we have received our gift from DonorsChoose.org. Our project "Technology is the Way of Our Future" has a special place in our hearts in room 201. We have been working hard on learning new skills every day. We have been using our new devices daily. The impact that it has had on my classroom is huge. My students have an opportunity now to work on class assignments that have been assigned during Steam (A class that takes place in the computer lab once a week) in class.
Teaching my students about different things they can use on our new computers has been very educational. All of my students have now been able to learn, create, and work on things such as Google slides, Google sheets, and finish assignments given through sites such as Raz-kids, Reflex Math, Starfall, Moby Math, and Xtramath.org. We love being able to accomplish these things in class daily instead of having to wait for lab days. I have students that work on increasing their fact fluency and reading by using these programs daily. Students have been able to increase their scores by using these interactive programs. There are so many different things that we have been able to do with the use of our new computers. Programs such as National Geographic for kids has allowed us to start our research papers on our favorite animals. We now have the capabilities of using our new computers everyday, at any time not just when we are scheduled for the computer lab or the chrome book cart.
Technology in my class room is opening many different avenues for learning and exploring the great world around them. I am excited to see them use this technology. Who knows; this technology may inspire my students to become some of the greatest problem solvers of the future!
My students don't have a lot at home and everything I can do in my classroom to help facilitate learning and enjoyment of technology while at school is my goal. You have helped me to achieve that goal. Thank you so very much for helping to make that happen for my students.”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Ray
