There is no better experience for little children than hands-on experiences. This year, our students will be visiting the zoo and a learning center called EcoLand. These are places that are an extension of the classroom, where students can continue to learn about what we are discussing in class. Both places will serve as fun and exciting learning experiences for the students. The students will be able to make connections with what they are learning in the classroom.
For these trips, students will be making a t-shirt with an animal figure of their choice, made with their own hand prints. Through this project, they will learn about animals, colors, mixing paint, and textures, and they will let their imagination and creativity run wild. Each shirt will be unique. We need fabric paint and brushes. The shirts will be made with each student's hand prints, thus making them more special. This project is something they can keep for the rest of their lives, and when they grow up, they will remember this was the first project they made at the beginning of their school journey. Plus, you never know how many little minds we can inspire to become our future Picassos.
