A big part of the newer portion of the Mathematics curriculum includes Financial Literacy. This is a great addition because it exposes children to the workings of a checking account, the interest rates of a credit card and other monetary concepts of everyday adult life. I would like students to have access three Chromebooks as part of a research project where we monitor and track the stock market and calculate profits and losses based on the trends. We will then use the printer to print out charts and graphs based on our results and calculate needs based on the evidence.
