Using soccer balls in practice to develop our student-athletes skills is a daily activity. We use the same set of balls with our students during their athletic periods, during after school practices, pre-game warm ups, and even as actual game balls for district, non-conference, and tournament games. It is important that we have a functional set of balls for all of our players to practice with, and a few game balls to present to the other schools with pride. By donating to our project, you will be helping supply our athletes with the equipment they need to improve and be competitive with the other school districts in our area as well as inspiring them to be as successful as they can be inside the classroom to be eligible to be successful on the soccer field. We have had the same set of balls to practice and play games with for over 10 years, and over that time many of the balls have been ripped, popped, and undergone general wear and tear to the point where only a handful are usable. lost, stolen, Having well funded and functioning programs are crucial to the development of young adults in underfunded communities like these because it provides them with similar opportunities as students from wealthier districts. We strive to assist our struggling students with having an equal opportunity to learn and thrive after high school by getting everything we can for them to be as competitive as students from other districts. Preventing these students from leaving school and wandering the streets is one of our primary goals so that they can develop into responsible adults, and supplying our student-athletes with new equipment would motivate our athletes to take pride in their team, school, education, and community.
