Our amazing school has to unfortunately depend on a very old, outdated HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) system that is really just unable to cool our school the way it needs to. When my classroom is hot, it's hard to get through a lesson. My students and I get tired, and it's hard to stay motivated. Staying engaged with group members and participating in hands-on activities get compromised when it's too hot in a classroom. I'm hoping to fund this project to bring a Honeywell Portable Air Conditioner into my room to create the learning environment that we need.

About my class
