  • Technology: Bringing the World to Our Fingertips

    Funded Oct 9, 2019

Our classroom is so blessed to have been funded by your company. Our students are enjoying using the classroom i-Pad to go on educational applications such as i-Ready, ABC Mouse, YouTube kids, and Vooks. The students are able to do things such as lessons in Math and Reading to listening to audio books.

Our students are really enjoying the new classroom rug. It allows them the flexibility to move around the room. The enjoy reading books, working on the i-Pad, and doing small group activities on the carpet. It is very hard for students to sit in a chair for 7 hours a day with little options for movement. This carpet has given them a flexible seating option and they work hard to earn it.

Many of our special needs students have especially benefited from the use of a classroom i-Pad. The i-pad gives them a hands on option to learning that is not the typical pencil and paper approach. We are so grateful to your company. You have made this school year wonderful for them.”

    With gratitude,

    Teacher V.

  • Guided Reading Fun

    Funded Nov 2, 2018

Thank you so much for the positive impact you have had in our classroom. My students love the letter factory games and the magnifying glasses. They do not even realize how much learning is taking place while they are having fun. The students have made gains in letter recognition and sight word identification as a result of these donated items. The magnifying glasses have been used across subject areas. We have used them during reading small groups as well as science when exploring the world around us. My students and I are so grateful for your generous donation!”

  • Exploring Using Technology

    Funded Oct 17, 2018

Thank you so much for your generosity and kindness! My students and I have greatly benefited from your donation. We use the I-pad on a daily basis. The students use the I-pad on programs such as I-Ready for Reading and Math. As well as other applications, that reinforce phonemic awareness, sight words, and math skills. The I-pad has also allowed students to take online field trips to many places they have never and may never experienced. The students have also loved the Instax Fujifilm. All the students take turns taking pictures of the topics and experiments we are learning about in Science and Social Studies. You have impacted our class in such a positive way. My students look forward to our daily and weekly projects using the materials you have donated! Thank you again!”

    With gratitude,

  • A Pop of Color

    Funded Mar 27, 2018

Thank you so much for allowing my students the opportunity to be creative and learn through colorful visuals. We have been able to create so many colorful and fun hands on activities that allow them to be engaged and active in their learning process. They have been able to work on such skills as fine motor, sorting, counting, and identifying. My students have been able to complete projects across subject areas thanks your donation. We have created pizzas for math and underwater scenes for science. Thanks to you a boring black and white worksheet or textbook has now come to life and they had a part in creating it. We have so many more colorful, fun and engaging projects yet to complete this year. My students and I thank you from the bottom of our hearts.”

    With gratitude,

  • Learning Through Color and Touch

    Funded Oct 23, 2017

Your generous donation has forever changed our classroom. My students get off the bus excited and yearning to learn. They look forward to all the new activities that are now available to them, thanks to you! From printed books to matching activities, they are now all in bright colors for my students to enjoy. The classroom I-Pad has been the biggest success due to the interactive applications and videos. On the I-Pad, they have been able to practice and reinforce such skills as fine motor, number recognition, one to one number correspondence, letter identification and phonics. The educational videos on the I-Pad are just one more tool that reinforces the academic concepts we are covering weekly. It is a joy to see these underprivileged and disabled students being able to enjoy new technology at their finger tips. Many of my students lack the the fine motor skills to use a mouse and computer, but I have seen them light up and excel on the I-Pad. Not only has your donation impacted their learning but also their self esteem. I am truly grateful to you for giving my students this opportunity!”

    With gratitude,

    Teacher V.

My students use a modified curriculum called Unique Learning. It is all based online, there are no text books or workbooks from which the children to look at or work from. I print out all story books and worksheets for them and we only have a black and white printer. The students would enjoy and show more interest if it were in color. They need vibrant, colorful visuals to help in learning and on-task behavior. My students have physical and mental impairments which make it difficult for them to use a computer and computer mouse. We only have one working children's computer in our classroom and there are tons of websites and applications that would help reinforce things such as the letters of the alphabet, colors, shapes, and numbers. That is why I believe my students would benefit from having a classroom Apple iPad. Not only is it touch screen, it is portable for them to use from anywhere in the classroom.
