The first grade classrooms at my school are located in their own hallway. The space outside our 4 classrooms would make the perfect space for a sensory hallway where students could go to get their wiggles out. All students need a break from learning every once and a while especially first graders. One of my favorite things about this project is that it will not only benefit my students, it will benefit the entire grade. That’s 88 students instead of 22! We’ve all had that student who just needs to go for a quick walk to get some energy out. Why not ask them to go do hopscotch as they deliver a note to the teacher across the hall!
