If my project is funded, I will use it to enrich my students' educational experience in the classroom. Science graphs, charts, projects, workbooks will be enhanced and more exciting. Student work can be presented in color when needed. Students will have access to a classroom printer to allow writing to be printed for peer editing and revision. As a teacher, I am not to leave my students alone in the classroom and cannot access the school printer as often as it is needed throughout the school day. Having a printer in my classroom will allow more timely printing and assure the safety of my students as I can remain in the classroom with them. My students will soon have one to one access to a Chromebook. More and more work will be done on the Chromebooks and need to be printed before turning in. I am preparing a portfolio of all there writing this year. There is more writing being required in Science this year with the new Core. Being able to print their work and graphs will be very beneficial and give the class immediate access to the data created. I like to hang examples of excellent student work in my classroom and in the hallway. The classroom printer will make this possible and much easier.
