A more updated collection of books will help to keep the students engaged. This will help increase their fluency level and help them to achieve success throughout their academic day. Engaged readers are successful learners. By receiving these collections of books, the students will have the opportunity to read on their individual level and have the chance to relate to more updated subject matter than what we currently have in our resource library. Most of the books our students select in the media center are much too difficult for them, yet they want to read updated material like their peers have access to. More contemporary selections will give them a chance to enjoy a wide variety of books with high interest and engaging subject matter.
