The materials I have chosen will make a huge difference in the lives of the students I teach. Technology is limited in our school and there are so many ways to incorporate learning using technological gadgets. There are several programs and apps that can help students succeed. Some of my students do not have the opportunity to use technology at home to see the difference it can make in learning, and with limitations at school, some of them may not ever be able to experience this. All students do not learn well with pencil and paper alone! Therefore, I am working hard to get my own classroom set of technology enhanced devices to tend to the needs of all students. Some students learn better when they are doing, some learn better when they are listening, and some can very much so learn at any method presented to them. The tablets can be used for small- group and center instruction, including advancing multiplication skills, doing collaborative assignments within groups, and being able to use more interactive sites to visually introduce learners to another learning opportunity. I also want to purchase a bluetooth speaker for the classroom. I am always finding songs to relate to the lessons being taught. We sometimes like to go to other classes to share some of our musical learning. This will increase school collaboration and give students a fun way of learning. The books are always needed to encourage reading. Reading has to be done in all classes, especially now that all tests basically require reading comprehension. I am always trying to build my classroom and make a cross- connection of reading and math. Therefore, I am working to address all learning needs and deficits through my proposed project.
