Field Safety after Hurricane Irma

Let me start by saying Thank You on behalf of the students and myself. We are so grateful to have received all these wonderful materials to use outside during PE. The majority of the materials helped put together an awesome field day for the 2nd-5th graders. It increased the atmosphere and competition, in a good way, for the students participating.

Field Day is a day full of track & field events along with team events. The hula hoops for example gave us the opportunity to do the Hula Hoop Team Race, which requires all students in the class to participate and pass the hula hoop through their body without breaking the chain or letting go of hands. For the track and field events, I was able to paint a track on the field for the relay races and lanes for the 50 and 100 yard dash with the athletic marking machine and spray paint provided.

Although, we have completed our field day event for this year, the athletic marking machine has helped us paint additional boxball courts and squad numbers under the PE pavilion. All the balls, hula hoops and other materials continue to be utilized during PE.
