  • Elevating Ordinary Occasions to Extraordinary Celebrations

    Funded May 7, 2024

Thank you so much for donating to our classroom project. The kids were so excited to open and use the games that were delivered! Play lets children practice what they know, and also what they don't. It also allows them to experiment through trial and error, find solutions to problems, work out the best strategies, and build new confidence and skills. My class and school community as a whole will have the opportunity and pleasure to play cooperatively with all the new games we received. We also would like to thank you all for contributing to all the bins that will keep our school games nice, safe, and organized. Thanks again for helping us!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Tasha Holder

  • Fail to Plan, Plan to Fail

    Funded Dec 4, 2023

I would like to take the time to thank you all once again for your support. I am grateful to have families and friends like yourselves who believe in what I do for the community in which I teach. I feel blessed to have old, new, and perspective future families support the projects that I put forth each and every year.

The storage bins have worked out great in our classroom. Students are easily accessing the materials they need during literacy and math centers. Materials have been clearly labeled and organized for students and it is clear that the organization of materials has removed some barriers for students who need help with organizing themselves so that they can get to the work a bit more readily. My students would also like to thank you for the writing tools and additional fun literacy and math station games and activities that have now become added centers in our classroom.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Tasha Holder

  • Literacy And Math Centers for Ms. Tasha's Kindergarten Scholars

    Funded May 10, 2023

It is with great gratitude and appreciation that I submit this impact letter to you for your kindness and willingness to give toward, "Literacy And Math Centers for Ms. Tasha's Kindergarten Scholars!"

All children can learn if strongly supported and enthusiastically encouraged. I believe when a learning environment with high expectations of achievement is introduced, perpetuated by the classroom teacher and supported by the school and community, students cultivate an "I CAN do it" attitude and perform to and beyond expectations despite challenges they may face. The donations allowed my students to learn through fun purposeful hands on activities. I am looking forward to using these materials with future students entering my classroom.

Your generosity means everything to us and to the community I serve. I know you have a lot of choices when it comes to donating, and we are so grateful that you chose to donate to our class.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Tasha Holder

  • Art & Craft Supplies for SEL & Moving Up Ceremony

    Funded Apr 7, 2022

Thank you all so much for all of your donations. Our ceremony was colorful, bright, and beautiful because of your donations. Students were able to show their creativity with the materials donated which made for a successful day in more ways than one. Our students are very special, unique, and artistic. The donations allowed students to create beautiful pieces of work which transformed our graduation space from something ordinary, to something extraordinary. The students will remember this day for years to come. I am grateful for the support from each and every one of you who donated and spread the word to others to donate. You all rock!”

  • Social & Emotional Learning Supplies for Kindergarteners

    Funded Dec 24, 2021

Thank you so much for your donation to my classroom! Words cannot express my joy, excitement, and thanks for our new art supplies! I am so grateful that generous people like you believe in my students, my classroom, and education in general.

When all of our new construction paper, paint, playdough, and social emotional kits arrived, all you could hear were ewwws and ahhhhhs from the students in my classroom! The students were thrilled to see our new materials. The excitement in their eyes, just for something as simple as paper and fresh playdough, was so inspirational; It brought joy to my heart just to see how grateful they were for this addition to our learning.

Your donation made an immediate and lasting impact on our classroom! The art supplies that you have funded helped to enable my students to be so creative. I am able to better teach and reach all of my students. We use our new supplies daily for choice time, melt downs, and art projects. We incorporate art into all that we do in our classroom. We have created portraits, murals, and so many other art pieces because of you all. We hope you enjoy the pictures that show the different ways we have utilized all items. You are helping my students become more creative each and every day! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Again, thank you so much for your kindness. My students and I are so thankful for you and your donation!"”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Tasha Holder

Hi! I'm Ms. Tasha, a kindergarten teacher at a public school in Harlem. I do a lot of project-based art activities with students during our Social Emotional Learning Block in class. These are mainly arts and craft items, academic center/station items, and sensory items. These art supplies will allow students to express themselves through art. The sensory and academic items will be used to help students who need special accommodations to cope with some of the trauma they have faced while being out of school during the COVID-19 pandemic, which has caused them needing a great deal of adjustment to catch up socially, emotionally, and academically.
