As my class of hardworking first graders grow their reading skills, they need books that they are interested in reading to help them grow their love of books! First graders are emerging readers that need to see just how fun reading can be! With so many students coming in at the first levels of reading, we have ran out of books and students are having to share. It is hard for students to grow their reading when they don't have their own books to study and practice with! I have requested books that are at their just right reading level as well as some really engaging read aloud books to show them just how fun reading can be.
