Thank you so much for your support. This will help to make all of our following school years a success. We will be using this project everyday in my classroom and it will make delivering instruction much easier. Therefore, my students will be able to learn without any added stress of not being comfortable. Again, thank you so much for your more than generous support.”

  • How to Travel Without the Expense!

    Funded Jan 16, 2018

I would first like to thank you for your generosity and support for our project. Your contributions made possible for each of my students to enjoy and experience this story. The majority of my students are from lower economical households and are unable to experience many of the topics discussed in books personally. This is why I feel presenting them with a variety of books is beneficial to their growth and success as students.

Through your generous donations I was able to teach my students how to use their imaginations to visualize the story the author was sharing. Students were also able to use various techniques during our book study to ask and answer questions about plot, setting, and characters. All of these skills are essential in becoming better readers.

Several of my students expressed a genuine concern and interest in the daily activities of the two main characters. Even though they knew the story was realistic fiction they were able to relate, identify, and express their feelings of care and concern. While this story did not take them on an adventure abroad, to most of my students, the unfamiliar life of living on a farm exceeded their travel expectations. Once again, thank you for your generosity and allowing my students the ability to travel without the expense.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Woodcock

Your generous donation to our project will improve my third grade classroom by building successful readers. Being successful readers is fundamental for success in every part of our daily lives. My students will use these books in a class book study to learn various skills beneficial in becoming successful readers. By giving my students the tools to improve their reading skills you will be gifting them with tools they will use for the rest of their lives. "The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you'll go." - Dr. Seuss
