Spread the Word
Funded Sep 20, 2022There's nothing better than opening a brand new book to read, some students caressing the cover, others smelling the fresh ink, and some just having fun keeping the pages open.
Thank you so much for the class set of core literature books! This is a great book for teaching point of view and plot. The story inspires students to consider just what they can do with a creative mind and determined spirit. This book also teaches students how some words are formed.
Many students will enjoy this book for years to come!
Thank you,

Funded Nov 15, 2022Wow! Thank you all so much for your support and helping fund this project! My students will enjoy "Out of My Mind" and learn about cerebral palsy. This will be a great read to open discussions about disabilities. It will help open the students' minds, gain an insight on people with disabilities and learn about empathy.”

Funded Dec 1, 2021Students thoroughly enjoyed "The Secret Lake" and would like to thank all the donors. With your donation, our core literature library now has a work by a current author. The book bins are great to store and transport the books.
Not only did the book helped students develop vocabulary and context clues, but students were excited to read more mysteries. Some students were ahead of the assignments and wanted to finish the book. My colleagues also heard great things about this book and wanted to borrow them!
It's exciting to see students talk about and get enthusiastic about reading.
Thank you so much for your donation.”

Funded Nov 10, 2021Thank you so much for our cubby storage unit, bins, and books. We were so fortunate to be able to replace our original storage unit with more than one thing. I love our new storage unit because it's sturdy and mobile. Our students are able to look at the clear bins and grab what they need. They can carry the entire bin and bring it back to their desks to work. They are learning to stay organized and clean as they keep their resources in the correct bins.
I was able to get a few copies of Alvin Ho book to use as a class literature set. I think it's important that our students are able to see themselves in the books they read.
We are so grateful for the donation and support. Thank you for supporting our classroom.”

Funded Nov 21, 2021Thank you for your generous donation to our classroom. Through your generous donation, we are able to add another title to our core literature collection. My students were extremely excited to see the brand new books and nice sturdy containers to store them.
As mentioned before, our core literature collection is in disrepair. Many copies of books are lost over the past year during the quarantine. Many titles needed to be replenished, and you made it happen so quickly! Now we have a whole class set to dive in!
Thank you so much!”

Chromebooks for 21st Century Learners!
Funded Apr 3, 2019Thank you so much for the Chromebooks! Your generosity brought much needed technology to our classroom! Before, we have to share a classroom set of Chromebooks with other classes, so students only have a couple of hours in a week to have some access to technology. Now I have a technology station in my classroom for my students. They are smiling ear to ear as they use their brand new Chromebooks.
Technology is a valuable and integral component in 21st Century learning. We purchased online leveled reading program but do not have enough devices to access the program. With the Chromebooks, the struggling readers can read at their current reading level. Our district adopted reading program also has online assessments. Now more students can take the online assessments at once.
From third grade and on, students take the annual state standardized tests. This is especially challenging for our third graders since they are not used to using any devices to take assessments. They need to practice navigating skills for their research, keyboarding skills, and reading and taking notes from a device. Unfortunately, some of our students do not have access to technology outside of the classroom. These are the students who will definitely benefit from having access to technology in the classroom.
I am so grateful for your support. Thank you so much!”

Mrs. Beck
