  • Fun For Everyone

    Thank you so much for all of your generous contributions! The joy in the student's eyes when they saw all the new activities they can use during speech has been immeasurable. They were so happy when they discovered how these new toys, games and activities could become apart of our speech and language therapy sessions. They have been able to expand their language both verbally and using their talkers through play. Student have been able to learn different play schemes and learn new language using our new donors choose supplies. Coming to the therapy room has become exciting. The children ask to come down whenever they see a therapist. The children using talkers have started to put together 2 words on their device while playing, request their wants as well as refuse, and label new objects/items. This has really helped our students immensely.

  • Learn to Read, Read to Learn!

    We cannot thank you all enough for your very generous donations that granted us these reading materials and sequencing cards for improving my students phonemic awareness and storytelling skills. As the boxes came to our school it was so exciting to open the boxes, see the materials, and to use them. My students were eager to sort through the phonemic awareness game boards and see all the fun activities that we can use to improve our skills. The sequencing cards are all so interesting to help my students to want to tell stories.

    We continue to fill our brains with knowledge everyday and then use that knowledge to achieve academic success. Thank you for all of your support and for creating a richer educational environment for all of my students.”

They are learning how to retell stories in a logical order from the beginning, middle, and end. The students are making predictions and drawing inferences. The students are loving the new books and projects that we are working on from making poems, to writing about winter, writing book reports, writing book reviews and coming up with new endings for books. Being able to listen to or read a book are fundamental skills needed throughout their academic careers as a student. When reading about fall with a fall book the students will learn and improve their understanding seasons. Other books are essential to help them retell main ideas and key details, recall information to improve their memory, and infer meanings of words or phrases used throughout the book. The donations to my project will help students to focus, listen, understand, and express ideas about the book in a fun and exciting way! This will help increase the students motivation with new books in their school lives.
