Having a variety of books in the classroom library, will make my eager readers happy. They will have more choices of books that they can read independently and with their reading partners. The students will also have books that are on their independent reading levels where they can build confidence and become more motivated to read. The students will also be able to set their reading goals that show more books that they will vow to read on a weekly basis.
In my classroom, my students are given homework to read for at least twenty minutes per day. They need to show evidence of this on their reading log. Having the available books, will help with this homework assignment.
