  • Volleyball Mania

    Funded Aug 9, 2022

I appreciate your generosity in giving to my classroom project. We will use the volleyball equipment with vigorous enthusiasm as we strive to improve our skills, sportsmanship, teamwork, fitness and with safety. The goals that our students set to improve themselves have been helped with your donation. I cannot thank you enough.”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. Lannon

This classroom project was brought to life by Bill Gates and 4 other donors.
  • Sanitizing for a Healthy PE Environment

    Funded Oct 3, 2021

Thank You for making the choice to donate toward a worthy project of keeping our Gym, the equipment and our students safe of germs like Covid-19. It is a daily routine to use the products that you helped purchase to stay safe. Each student is healthier because of you. The students like the Purel wipes the most, but we use everything to its fullest extent.

The Basketballs and Volleyballs picture are wiped down on daily basis. The balls are numbered as well to limit contact to a fewest number of students for each piece of equipment. The only thing I worry about is wearing out the equipment because of the constant use of chemicals on them, but that is a concern for another day.

We have had no cases trace back to the Gymnasium and the custodians do a great job as well keeping the floors and walls clean with the special spray and UV light used to kill the virus. I would again like to Thank You! for making the donation to my Project and to our (including you in that number) students safety.”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. Lannon

  • Two Screens

    Funded Feb 28, 2021

The larger screen that you donated has helped me see the students, there work, and improve communications between myself and my fully remote classes. I truly appreciate what you have given to me and our students, I feel fortunate and want to thank you for your generosity.

When students give presentations, submit work, or raise hands to contribute to the class conversations, I can see and hear them clearly with the larger screen. I feel better and it translates to a better atmosphere in a virtual classroom.

    Stay safe,

    A grateful 👩‍🏫 teacher”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. Lannon

I teach Health to students in K-8th grade setting. I will be able to see all the students in most classes and be able to respond to questions when students raise there hand on line. I can see faces of struggling students a lot easier with an additional screen especially the size of 23". Students also respond better when I see the struggles they are having, rather than waiting for a hand or a message written in a chat room. Students are required to have cameras on, but if I cannot see them, it really defeats the purpose.
