This year I have the privilege of teaching 5th grade. Within my two classrooms I have a diverse population of 49 students that I teach English Language Arts (ELA) to everyday. Of those 49 students, I also teach Social Studies to 26 of them. To help enforce the reading standards for my fifth grade students, I am trying to increase the amount of novel sets I have. Using novels helps the students use the content skills that are taught in the classroom in context.
