Sound Shaping Young Musicians
Funded Jan 23, 2021First of all, thank you so much again for your kind and generous donation toward our music classroom! It is people like you who enable me to teach these young musicians to the best of my ability regardless of our lack of finances. These Sound Shapes are such a wonderful asset in the Pre-K to 2nd Grade music classroom and we can't wait to use them!
Unfortunately, our district has not gone back to in-person learning as of 2/1/2021, so the students have not been able to get their hands on our new Sound Shapes yet. Right now, I plan on using the Sound Shapes in my virtual teaching by using them to keep the beat in our daily songs we sing and using them as props in a kindergarten favorite song "Triangle, Rectangle, Circle, Oval, Square!"
These Sound Shapes will definitely come in handy when we return to in-person learning, as I am going to need to distribute one instrument to every student during class to avoid passing germs to on another, rather than sharing instruments like we normally do. Once again thank you so much for your contribution to our classroom. We really appreciate it!”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Piehl
Fruit Shaking It Up!
Funded Dec 7, 2020First of all, thank you so much again for your kind and generous donation toward our music classroom! It is people like you who enable me to teach these young musicians to the best of my ability regardless of our lack of finances. These fruit shakers are gorgeous and we can't wait to use them! I showed them to the kids and they are so excited! To quote one of my students "Wait... music is going to come out of THAT?"
Unfortunately, our district has not gone back to in-person learning as of 1/12/2021, so the students have not been able to get their hands on the fruit shakers yet. Right now, I plan on using the fruit shakers in my virtual teaching by using them to keep the beat in our daily songs we sing and using them as props in a preschool favorite song "Fruit Salad Yummy Yummy."
These fruit shakers will definitely come in handy when we return to in-person learning, as I am going to need to distribute one instrument to every student during class to avoid passing germs to on another, rather than sharing instruments like we normally do. Once again thank you so much for your contribution to our classroom. We really appreciate it!”
