My seventh and eighth grade students are some of the brightest, most resilient students on the planet. My students are multi-talented, and include avid readers, those with interest in STEM, musicians, dancers, athletes, and poets. My students are courageous, confident, and determined. Coming from a West Baltimore neighborhood lacking in many resources, my students are creative and resourceful in achieving their dreams. My students show resilience every day by overcoming tremendous personal and academic obstacles, yet always being ready to learn and grow. Though our classroom is often found lacking in textbooks, lab supplies, and other necessities, my students always make it a priority to learn. They are excited and dedicated to preparing themselves for high school, college or trade school, and the work force.
