Let the Games Begin!
Funded Jul 27, 2018I want to first start off by telling you how thankful we were to receive this technology. My students and I were beyond excited to start with this, at the beginning of the school year. I never realized how many great capabilities, there was using a Mac computer. Students were able to get easily engaged in their lessons, by incorporating technology into their lessons.
What makes it so much easier and compatible for my students is, they are able to link their own personal laptops, or the MAC computer, to the new wireless printer. It makes the class run so much smoother, because they can print straight from their computer.
I once again, want to thank you for, taking the time to fund our project. It will definitely, benefit my students, to further their education.”
With gratitude,

This classroom project was brought to life by Carnegie Corporation and one other donor. The Melting Pot
Funded Mar 27, 2018This project could not have been funded at a better time. My students are preparing to take their STAAR Science test, and this has helped them so much prepare, at their own paces. A lot of my students are ESL (English Second Language) are able to practice, test taking skills, as well as understanding content.
The best thing about our project, is students are now able to rotate in with their technology. Instead of some students working only using paper-pencil, all students are now able to incorporate technology.
In one of my classes, which are Recent Arrivals, they take their STAAR test online vs. paper and pencil. With them being able to practice their testing strategies on a computer, it will help them better, to be able to excel in their test.
Once again, I want to thank you very much for your donation. We are beyond thankful.”

This classroom project was brought to life by Ripple.Expand Your Horizons
Funded Oct 17, 2017I would like to thank you so much for taking the time to donate to my students, this project has helped my students more than you can believe. When the packages came in, I saved it to have a couple of my students open it, and seeing their faces light up, was very heart warming.
This laptop has come to be a huge asset for my students who were struggling with not having technology at home. My students are able to check out the laptop, but are required to have a consent signed by their parents, where they are able to work on assignments or online projects at home.
Students love that they are able to work comfortably at home, on their assignments, and aren't feeling like they aren't able to complete assignments due to the lack of technology.
I have one student, in particular, who is really benefiting the laptop, due to losing his laptop during Hurricane Harvey.
I once again, want to thank you so much for your donation.”
With gratitude,
Ms. LOPEZ
Can't Stop, Won't Stop.. There Is No Looking Back!
Funded Nov 21, 2017I want to thank you so much for your donation to my classroom, my students and I are beyond appreciative. This project has helped my students work more effectively on their student projects. When the packages came in I let my students open it, so they would feel such excitement, knowing these materials were for them.
First off our air purifier in the classroom, is making a huge impact for the quality air my students and myself are breathing. I have received many compliments from colleagues, saying they can see a huge difference in my classroom.
My students were beyond thrilled with the surface keyboard and case, where its helping them complete their projects, with a lot more ease.
All of my students are finding a great benefit, from the materials that you took the time to donate. Thank you once again!”

Bringing Science to Life, Right Before Your Eyes!
Funded Oct 9, 2017I first off want to start off with how thankful my students and myself are for your donation, for our classroom. When the package came in during one of my class periods, I let my students open the package, without telling them what it was. I told them this was a present for them, anxiously they opened it up and were excited beyond belief. We set it up and I downloaded a few of the programs, to show them what we would be using it for. The first app I demonstrated to the students was "Complete Anatomy", where students were able to drag, zoom in, zoom out, label, etc. Human Body systems. The students were so amazed in how interactive it was for them.
The students love how they are able to see Science in a 3D virtual manner, and they are able to use the technology by themselves. Having a Microsoft Surface is perfect for these students, because they are able to use a touch screen and explore Science in a different way, that they have never seen before.
In my classroom, I teach students who are still learning the English language and with this great tool, my students are able to point or see a word they may know only in Spanish, and are able to translate in English. I also teach a wide range of Gifted and Talented students, who want to pursue a career in Engineering or Medical fields, that are so amazed by seeing Science or 3D models, right at their fingertips.
Once again, thank you for your donation, and the students are going to really enjoy incorporating technology in their everyday learning.”
With gratitude,
Ms. LOPEZ
