The Edison robot is a powerful, engaging tool for teaching students STEM, computational thinking and computer programming through hands on activities. Each robot offers multiple programming languages that can be tailored to meet the needs and skills of students in our youngest grades while also offering challenging opportunities to our older students who are ready to program with more advanced programming languages. Edison Robots are compatible with Lego products so students can design their robots using Lego blocks. Imagine students engaged in robotics while constructing designs using one of their favorite building tools: Lego's! This is truly a versatile product that will help our students learn to collaborate as they work in teams to solve challenges using robotics and engage in evidence based-claims as they test ideas and gather data. These durable robots have been designed to withstand any classroom environment and will last for years. Edison robots come with a free curriculum and can be used with or without computers, making this a cost effective product. I have seen first hand how excited our students are when engaging in robotics as they develop ideas in teams and learn cooperative skills, build confidence and develop a growth mindset as they problem-solve solutions. We have had limited opportunity to use robots at our school. Your donation would allow us to purchase a classroom set to be shared by all teachers. Robotics is the future and we want to prepare our students today for the challenges they will face tomorrow. Help us create an engaging robotics program for all our students.
