Geography, Keeping It Colorful
Funded Mar 14, 2023I want to thank you for your donations. Without your help my students would not be replenishing their classroom supplies. They would not have the space to learn to keep organized. They would not be getting such cool prizes for their hard efforts in class. It’s because of you that I am able to provide the most for my students. Thank you for your generosity.”

Funded Oct 30, 2019My students were excited to see the addition of technology in the classroom. They were so use to having to share what I have with groups. Now there's more flexibility in the room where there are less students to a screen. Now when they play a game, watch videos or try to find information online, it's easier for students to take turns.
Students no longer feel embarrassed not having a device of their own because now instead of having to check to see if students will need a device I just put them down before hand. If they ever need the tablets or laptop for anything else they know to ask because it is available to them whenever they may need them.
Thank you so much for your donation and I know my students really appreciate your help.”

Funded Nov 15, 2018My students learn about wold culture and they are using technology to explore areas they knew nothing about, completing assignments and projects. Students are also using technology to review by playing review games or just looking at material I add to the tables. It's one thing for my students to read the textbooks and answer questions but a whole different ball game when they are able to Google map the regions or even look up videos that show the same and most of the time more information.
Students are super excited to be able to use technology in class. They love the freedom of being able to look up multiple sources and find information faster. So many do not have technology at home so just being able to use it here at school excites them. They also know if they have any assignments in other classes that require them to use technology they are more than welcome to use whatever I have in my classroom.
Out of all my students I believe the students that appreciate the technology the most are the ones who are new to the English language. They are able to translate information using online translators and translating apps. It makes it easier for them to complete assignments and get an understanding of the material.
My students and I, thank you for all your help! Without you supporting us we would not be able to make all the progress we make in class.”

Funded Mar 27, 2018Many of my students only ever use technology at school if it is available to them and adding a bit of technology to the classroom has made an impact on the way they learn and acquire information. Some students do not have cell phones, computers or Internet at home. When it comes down to doing research or just using technology to complete school assignments students heavily rely on resources the school can provide. So far my students have been able to use the laptop and the Fire Tables to review for exams, research information for school projects, and type up information for online classroom activities.
Out of the products I've receive the one that has had the greatest impact has been the laptop, students have easily able to access information, type essays, use programs such as Active Classroom and Google classroom. They can do so many things using the laptop and for some its easier than using the tablets.
Out of all my students the ones who appreciated the technology the most are my English Language Learners. They are able to translate all the information they are given. Programs such as Active Classroom translate the text or read the information to them in their primary language. They seem more engaged and ready to learn.”
