Funded Mar 27, 2018My 7th grade History students were so excited to have computers added to the classroom. The technology and instructional curriculum provided has assisted the students with learning history from a different perspective. The students are learning how to write papers utilizing Microsoft Word and Google Docs. The technology in the classroom has also impacted student's classroom presentation as they have learned how to complete reports on Power Point and Google Slides.
While the students have learned how to utilize Microsoft Suites and Google Suites, they are most excited when they use the technology to access the following websites Flocabulary and Brain Pop. Flocabulary connects the curriculum through hip-hop which allows the student to remember facts in a fun way. The students use Brain Pop to watch videos and complete quizzes.
I have particular students who have especially warmed to this new technology, and they are excited to go to their public library and complete extra credit assignments on Brain Pop. Students that have technology at home have requested homework from the websites that they have learned in the classroom.”
With gratitude,
Ms. TYLER
