Instead of dreading coming into the classroom each morning to complete another worksheet for morning work, my first graders will enter a world of educational play and imagination by using our Good Morning Steam bins. These activities will not only promote creative learning and thinking outside the box, but will encourage social interaction as well. Students will work together using the manipulatives provided. Other teachers who have used hands on activities in the place of morning work worksheets say that students start the day in a better, more engaged mood and it also could help improve arriving to school on time.
