My students are from an urban neighborhood with very few resources. We are in children school located in Harlem. My students strive to become the best they can with the few resources we have. They try hard everyday because they know their ticket out of poverty is college. My students know that if they read everyday they will grow to become better readers. I have used the line "good readers reread their books" often. However how many times do my students have to read 1 book? 10, 15, 20 times. Its time for them to fall in love with reading again and the books I am requesting will be ideal!
