In my class, we use calculators in our explorations. The students have to write up a math exploration as part of our school curriculum. The exploration is 12-20 pages using the interest of their choice which range from bees to buildings topics. They have to collect their data and use technology to use their IB math objectives/standards into their data. When using their data on calculators, the students will show an ​understanding of the math concepts we have done in class by using the data they collected. The calculators will not only be used for explorations but with their daily activities to help them comprehend calculus and statistics.
