A Laptop Computer for My ESOL Students
Help me give my students a laptop computer to use as they develop their skills in learning to speak English.
My classroom consists of 20 students where 11 students are boys and 9 students are girls. They are bright, energetic, smart, and have a bubbly personality and they all are eager to learn. The children come to school every day with a bright and cheerful attitude however, their home environment is one that does not provide encouragement nor support for them.
Their parents have a hard time providing the necessary tools they need to be able to perform well in the classroom. In addition they are not able to provide breakfast for their children so they have to wake them up earlier than they would like to, so that they can get the children to school where there is a hot meal waiting in the cafeteria for them, so that they can have something to eat to prepare them for their day of learning.
Every day it makes me feel very proud to be their teacher because they are always able to recall and explain the lessons taught.
