  • iPad in the Classroom

    Funded May 26, 2015

    I am so grateful for the iPad! My students were beyond excited for the iPads! They couldn't wait to start using them for research, for learning apps, and many more. My students are using the iPad for book reports and creating stop motion movie, taking reading test, and practicing their math skills. This project as boost my students learning in so many ways. The mirror app allows me to project the same screen on my smart board which allows me to move around and bring the board to the student. It also lets them share their answers or responses on the iPad. Thank you again for supporting my class and making a difference!”

  • Exemplary Text

    My students really enjoy the Exemplary text. I have been using the exemplary text as a teaching tool. My students are doing close reading activities on the exemplary text to help them better comprehend the text. My students read the text two or three times and each time with a different purpose in order to closely examine the text and to get the fully understanding of what they are reading.

    The exemplary text has really challenged my students and to motivate them to choose the more complex text and challenge them to read it. They are not afraid to read the harder books and with the tools I have taught them they are reading successfully. Thank you so much for your donation.”

    I just want to say thank you so much for your donation to my fun science reading materials. I am using these materials as we speak and it is such a useful resource for my classroom. My students are now getting the opportunity to read more non-fiction science text to help them prepare for their state test and improve their comprehension skills.

    My students enjoy reading interesting science facts and learning something new everyday.With the materials donated I can fully implement a second literacy block using reading in the content area.
