  • Setting The Stage To Engage Meaningful Learning

    Funded Sep 5, 2018

Thank you for your support in setting the stage to engage my students. The materials has helped my students engage in the learning process and provided them with effective learning activities. I used the astrobright paper to print and copy learning materials that catches the learners eye. The inflatable guitars and trophies are used to build a class community of team building and cooperative learning. Students are awarded weekly for demonstrating outstanding classroom behavior and teamwork. My students used the guitars to create a team cheer to represent their team. My students used the construction hats to play the role of a construction worker and measure different rectangles to solve the area and perimeter. The computer mouse has helped with students on the chromebooks to navigate through many goggle classroom assignments. My students were so excited to use the materials and are grateful for your support. My students love using the UV light and marker when we do breakouts for reviewing math concepts. Thank you again for your generous donations and for supporting students in meaningful learning experiences.”

  • Setting the Stage to Engage!

    Funded Mar 27, 2018

My students absolutely love the new resources especially life size hungry hippo math review. Students had to capture as many balls with a basket as their team mate glides them into the center. Then students had to look at the color of the balls they captured and solve a math problem associated with that color. They had such a blast while practicing their math skills. This is just one of the fun classroom lesson that I used with the materials. My next plan is to set up a book tasting party with the checkered table cloths and waiter apron. I can't wait to see my students reaction on the next stage to engage. Thank you so much.”

  • We need WONDER in our classroom!

    Funded Mar 27, 2018

The book Wonder is a great piece of literature that I have used to teach many reading skills. One of the skills I enjoy teaching with this book is theme because there is such a great message that could be learned from this story. Teaching kids how to be kind and compassionate with each other. Reading this book has helped with my students fluency and comprehension because we are constantly asking and answering questions about what we just read. Reading in my classroom looks like reading whole group, small group and independently. Once my students saw the book they were so excited and couldn't wait to start reading. Thank you again.”

Thank you so much for your generous donation! The brain games are a great resource for my students who want to grow their brains and are being used during centers. My students find them challenging but continue to try even harder to complete the task or puzzle. They love the rush hour and try to complete many of the puzzle cards.
