I am super excited to promote Action Based Learning in my classroom this year. Research shows that students learn more information and retain more knowledge when they are able to move while learning. Wobble stools, balls, and chair bands allow students the movement that they crave to be successful learners. At my campus, I have seen the impact that flexible seating can make when it comes to academic engagement and students being more focused learners. I would love to give my students the freedom of choice to work in the fashion that suits them best. I know that making the change to flexible seating will help them wiggle and wobble to success! I have been a member of ATPE since 2003 and am hoping to get them to match a donation to help fund my project.
