Funded Dec 18, 2018You have blessed our students in great manner! Thanks to your support we were able to make essential parts to finish our prototype. As you know , we are competing in the Samsung Solve for Tomorrow STEM Challenge by trying to solve one of the main causes of Merrimack Valley Gas explosions. We were selected state winners in Massachusetts reaching 20,000$ for technology and passing to next round of the competition nationwide against all the other state winners. From the 50 states , Samsung had to choose 10 national finalists to present in a final event in NYC. Well , we are so excited to tell you that we are among those 10 national finalists and already won 50,000$ for technology and classroom supplies. Once we present, we have the chance to go for 100,000$ if picked one of the three national winners. We are so proud of the impact we(including you, donors) are having in our community by giving hope, direction and many new educational opportunities in a city that gives a warm welcome to everyone. The students had been interviewed by Univision ,Telemundo , NBC, CBS, and the Eagle Tribune. They had received a lot of shine and support from their community. Besides all the hard work they had been putting on the challenge, there is always time to have fun!We always make room for jokes and laughs here and there. They have a very priceless sense of humor and that has been key in keeping them working together as a very united team and show professionalism when needed. We would love for you to take a look at the video that made us national finalists. You can find the video in www.samsung.com/solve and find Lawrence High School and even vote for us. All of this was possible by adding all the links for this success and you are one of them.”
With gratitude,
Mr. Vargas
