I always advocate for choice when it comes to my students' learning styles. Having these comfortable seating alternatives will allow students to make the best choice for themselves and their own learning. When students are given the freedom to choose their seating, they understand that responsibility comes with that choice, and they will choose wisely. My students also need to develop their current events literacy and knowledge so they can become better informed citizens. The Time for Kids magazines that they will read each week will help them succeed with understanding and discussing events, places, and people in their world.
