  • Snacks for Hungry Kids

    Funded Jan 21, 2025

Thank you for supplying my class with snacks. My young students often come to school feeling hungry. Sometimes they don't have time to eat at home, and sometimes they just didn't eat enough for their growing bodies.

Snacking in school is important for my students because it helps maintain their energy levels throughout the day, allowing them to focus better in class, manage hunger pangs, and prevent potential behavioral issues that can arise from low blood sugar, especially considering their active lifestyles and developing brains that require consistent fuel for optimal cognitive function.

We are so thankful for your generosity! These snacks are greatly appreciated!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Galbraith

  • Classroom Essentials

    Funded Jan 13, 2025

Thank you so much for supplying my class with tools for writing. My first-grade students are learning to write, and they love it. They have opportunities all day long to practice. They use pencils for workbooks and journal writing, and Expo markers for encoding practice on whiteboards. Individual pencil sharpeners are great for classroom management, and students can keep their sharpener in their backpack for use at home. Erasers allow my students to fix their mistakes and sentence strips are used for various reading and writing activities. Again, thank you so much for supplying our class with these essentials!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Galbraith

  • Hands-On Science

    Funded May 9, 2024

My young students absolutely love science and were thrilled to have the chance to engage in these hands-on explorations. We had been researching birds and animal life cycles in class. These requested science supplies gave my students the opportunity to dissect owl pellets, learn vocabulary related to this experience, and extend the learning that had already been taking place. The butterfly life cycle materials gave my students the opportunity to observe, firsthand, the life cycle of a butterfly.

Hands-on science exploration provides an impactful way for elementary students to engage their minds while adding fun to their learning. Thank you so much for your very generous and appreciated donations!”

  • Tools for Writing

    Funded Jan 19, 2024

Thank you so much for your very generous donation of writing supplies for our classroom. My first-grade students love using their whiteboards and dry erase makers to practice encoding words and writing them. The brand of markers you helped supply if our favorite and best quality in our opinion. Thank you for giving my students access to good quality items that they are using to learn. Pencils and poster markers are used daily, and we greatly appreciate the replenishment of these supplies.

Thank you so much for helping me supply my students with good quality items for writing.”

  • Classroom Necessities

    Funded Jan 12, 2024

Thank you so much for your very generous donation of classroom necessities. These supplies help keep our classroom clean and germ free. Every morning before my students arrive, I wipe down their tables with Lysol wipes. Our iPads, laptops and Smartboard are safely cleaned with the electronics wipes. My students love the scent of our new soap which is used often during this germy season. Tissues are used constantly, and my students appreciate having soft, good quality ones to use.

Thank you again for helping our classroom stay clean and germ free!”

    With gratitude,

  • Books for Early Readers

    Funded Nov 29, 2023

Thank you so much for your very generous donation of beginner reader books for our classroom library. My first-grade students enjoy reading these books on their own, and they also enjoy borrowing them, so they can bring them home to read them to their families. My students are proud that they can read these books independently and they are super appreciative for a new selection of books to choose from.

Thank you again for your very generous donation, my students and I are very grateful to have these books added to our library.”

  • Tools for Writing

    Funded Jan 23, 2023

In order to spell, you need to encode words. In other words, pull the sounds apart within a word and match letters to the sounds.

My first grade students are learning to sound words out and write sentences.

A favorite activity of theirs is to listen to words and sentences dictated. Their job, after listening, is to sound the words out and write them correctly. Dry erase markers allow my students to encode and fix mistakes easily, as they go back and check their work. Pencils are used throughout the day in all subjects, and flip chart markers write nicely on the chart paper when we are involved in group activities.

These supplies have been used often and are greatly appreciated.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Galbraith

My three year olds do not recognize their written names yet. Having access to a printer in our classroom will make it possible to print multiple pictures of my students, which will be used along with their written name, and will aide with their name recognition. A printer in our classroom will allow my students access to teacher created activities. As well, staying connected to families and keeping them informed will be made easier with access to a printer for notes home, class newsletters, and other important information that families might need. A printer in the classroom has many uses and will be utilized often to enhance learning in our 3K classroom.
