  • Solar Powered Cars with Captain Nosa!

    Funded Oct 21, 2021

Thank you so much for helping our classroom get these wonderful materials! We are excited to be able to build and decorate our very own solar-powered cars. The whole class is looking forward to warmer and dryer weather when we will draw a race track on our playground blacktop and race our cars! We really enjoyed our new books and we were excited to see children, like ourselves, in these beautiful books. Thank you for helping bring these awesome materials to us. We love to hear stories and these were great! Thank you again for helping us with our project.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. R.

  • Beginning Osmo!

    Funded Sep 24, 2021

Thank you for your generous support of our classroom project! My students are so excited to use the new Osmo activities and are loving being detectives and finding clues in the pictures with the Detective Agency. The Math Wizard has them building numbers, counting veggies or fruit, and launching space ships! We have met a fabulous Monster friend that has my students drawing characters or props in a story. He has them so excited to be active listeners and to answer questions about what happened! Osmo has made our Math and Reading time even more of an adventure! Thank you again for helping bring these amazing materials into our classroom.”

  • Pencils, Papers, and Stickers-Oh My!

    Funded Oct 13, 2021

Thank you for helping our classroom get these basic school supplies to start this school year. We are so happy to have these colored pencils, fancy writing pencils, and paper! The stickers are a big hit and students are excited to get them for all the hard work they are doing! The post-it notes will be used during our reading groups while we search our stories for answers to questions and to mark where the hidden sight words are throughout the story. We have started using the ten-frame dice to add, subtract and build numbers with a fun twist. Thank you again for supporting our classroom!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. R.

  • Hands-on Learning

    Funded Sep 16, 2021

Thank you for supporting our class project. We were so excited to start using the sensory beads and letter/number finds. The magnetic alphabet sort has been used every day since it arrived at our classroom door! We are always looking for engaging ways to practice counting, sorting, and number recognition, and these hands-on activities are fun and easily modified to be used by all skill levels. The decoding cards have been used to practice our daily phonics skills and are a wonderful addition to our center work. Thank you again for supporting our active learners!”

  • Skills Practice From Home

    Funded Apr 28, 2020

Thank you for helping fund this project to get materials to my students at home. These materials will help with math, reading, and writing practice at home. These addition and subtraction flashcards, workbooks, and letter/number formation materials are perfect additions to our Home Materials Backpacks. Students will be able to practice these skills at home during and after class. My students were very excited to get their Home Materials Backpack and see all the materials they got to help with school at home. Thank you again for giving my students materials to use at home to help support their learning!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. R.

  • Technology for Distance Learning

    Funded May 5, 2020

Thank you for helping me get reliable technology to do Remote Teaching from home. I have been able to teach remotely from home and reach all of my students using the Pixelbook that I was able to get with this project. Once my district goes Hybrid, I will continue to teach remotely and in-person so this Chromebook will still be used daily. Having access to a Chromebook that easily connects to the internet and stays connected has helped relieve anxious students and families. Just being able to see a friendly, familiar face has helped with student comfort and willingness to participate in activities. Thank you again!”

  • Books, Books, and More Books!

    Funded Feb 28, 2020

Thank you for helping bring these awesome books to our small classroom library! We are always looking for books that cover areas of interest, science, or social studies that are closer to our reading levels. These books are perfect for our classrooms. My students were so excited to be able to pick up a book about Jupiter or a biography about Emelia Earhart, or one about community helpers that are at their reading level. Our read-aloud library had some great additions that have ignited our imagination and increased our interest in writing! Thank you again for helping our classroom!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. R.

  • Remote Math Skills on the Go

    Funded Sep 16, 2020

Thank you for supporting my classroom with these awesome math materials that will be used from home while we are Remote teaching. Some of my students are working on number recognition, or simple addition and subtraction to and from ten, or they are just beginning multiplication. These materials will be used during our Remote instruction or as a practice to help solidify new skills.

The reactions we got when we did our materials rollout was amazing! My students were so excited digging into their new materials bag! I was able to watch online as they got to take the plastic wrap off their new dominos game, pop up addition/subtraction game and the dry erase flip boards.

Thank you again for supporting our classroom!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. R.

  • Maintaining Learning at a Distance

    Funded May 15, 2020

Thank you for helping to get these fun activities into my student's homes for Remote Learning. My students were so excited when we handed out the Remote Learning backpacks that they opened them up as soon as they got them into the car!

These games, workbooks, and activities are going to help maintain my student's skills during this COVID-19 pandemic. Giving some of my lower-skilled students' materials that are at their level, that they can use independently will increase their confidence and help them want to work on skills that may be more challenging.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. R.

  • Organized and Color Coded!

    Funded Aug 11, 2020

Thank you for supporting our classroom by funding our project to get individual storage materials for Hybrid In-person Learning. COVID-19 has changed the way we use materials in the classroom. We need to make sure each student has their own set of materials and a way to store them.

These pencil boxes, folders, seat sacks, and small storage containers will make it easier for students to keep their materials organized and separate from each other. Each child will be able to store their pencils, markers, and math manipulatives in their own color-coordinated cubby.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. R.

Students in my classroom work hard and may take a little longer to get some skills, but their love for learning shines through! We enjoy going on quests to find answers to questions we generate as a group.
