I Read, You Read, We Read!
Funded Jul 6, 2018Thank you so much for your generous donations towards my classroom library. My students were thrilled to see the library full of such wonderful books. At the beginning of the school year, I read books about character education. Our two favorite books were A Bad Case of the Tattle Tough and Personal Space Camp. We laughed and learned so much.
I used these books to teach kindness, friendship, compassion, and personal space. In my classroom, reading is enjoyable, fun, and engaging. We are working hard to learn new vocabulary words everyday. These books have opened our minds to new exciting words and stories that teach us about history, character traits, and fairy tales. My students are beginning to become fluent readers and enjoy the chapter books the most.
I send one book home with each student every Friday. My students enjoy reading and this gives them an opportunity to read different books each week to build fluency. The majority of my male students love the I Survived books the best. The majority of my female students enjoy the My Weird School series. We are so grateful to have a library full of new, exciting books.”
With gratitude,
