Help support Mrs. Moody's Classroom

My students gather daily on the carpet for morning meeting. We also meet on the carpet for reading and writing mini-lessons. It is a hard floor with old carpets. Most do well sitting there but some complain of their backs or body aching. They end up wiggling or trying to lie on the carpet. Then they lose focus and are still not comfortable. Students will focus better when they are comfortable and have their backs supported. The flexible seats would be used on the floor. They will give the students the comfort and back support they need. I have spoken with a physical therapist who agrees that the seats will give back support. Students who need them can get them when they come to the carpet. They will sit comfortably and be focused. Students will also have the opportunity to use them during independent work time if they choose to work on the floor. They have washable covers so cleaning will be easy. They stack easily and take up little space. My goal is to eventually have all my students sitting on them for our carpet gatherings.
