Oh the places you'll go when reading a book! My students will be afforded the opportunity to read at home with a parent to improve their fluency, comprehension skills, and develop a love for reading if this project is funded. Many of my students have expressed they do not have books at home or their parents do not have time to take them to the library. When creating this project, my goal was to make it possible for each of my students to have a book readily available. Once this project is funded, my students will now be able to take books home like Marvelous Me: Inside and Out, Our Children Can Soar, and Pretty Brown Face to motivate them to be whatever they want to be and be proud of who they are. Comparing Curlilocks and the Big Bad Hairbrush to Goldilocks and The Three Bears is an exciting way to teach similarities and difference of two texts. The Little Blue Box of Bright and Early Board Books are perfect for our annual Dr. Seuss week, specifically, when my students create a cereal box book report on a Dr. Seuss book. All of my students will be able to share their opinions of the book they read and make recommendations to peers of what they think is a good book to read. They will be expose to realistic fiction, fiction, and non- fiction books and travel the world from the pages of a book. The JBL Flip Speaker will be an asset to our listening center, read along with online books, viewing science, social studies, and math, videos, and power point presentations. "The more you read , the more things you will know. The more you learn, the more places you'll go" -Dr.Seuss
