Future Scientists Need Your Help
Funded May 5, 2021Thank you so much for providing our pre-k students with a hands-on science experience. They will learn so much through the observations of the caterpillar. These materials will give them opportunity to see first hand the transformation from caterpillar to butterfly. Science tools such as magnifying glasses helps this process.
Thank you for helping us create a great experience during our last unit of study for the school year.”

This classroom project was brought to life by SONIC Drive-In and 2 other donors.Help Us Be All We Can Be in Class!
Funded Oct 14, 2017I would like to thank you very much for all your donations. Thanks to your generosity and support my students were able to enjoy many different types of activities. The weighted stuffed animals has helped some of my students sit down during large group instruction for longer periods of time. This means students are gaining more because they are able to pay more attention during a lesson or read aloud.
The educational games have increased my students academic progress, fine motor skills and/or turn taking skills. When we first received "Go fishing" , certain students were unable to place the fishing pole into the mouth of the fish. Now, those same students who originally struggled are not able to doit. They practiced their skills in a fun way. They also practiced self regulation by waiting and taking turns.
The plastic colorful circles for the students to sit on the floor with serves multiple purposes throughout the day. The students especially love it when we use them during our indoor "obstacle" course. They enjoy counting as they jump from circle to circle. During our Transportation unit, the class enjoyed playing to the "Listen and Play on the Go Bingo".
You all have helped me reach the multiple intelligences I have in my diverse New York classroom. Thank you for your support.”
With gratitude,
Ms. Dedousis
