I want to build independence with my students. The cabinets and stacking drawers will be for their classroom supplies so that when students need them, they will be able to access it on their own. They need to feel that the supplies are for the students to use, and they need to take care of them. I want them to learn how to self-manage and feel more ownership in the classroom. I also want the students to have more flexible seating for small group work so that they can make choices about where they would like to sit in the classroom. The ownership and choices they can make in the classroom will help them gain the confidence they need to be successful learners.

About my class
