Lights, Camera, Action: Classroom Hollywood!

Funded Apr 8, 2010

June 12, 2010

My students were ecstatic to receive your donation of a Kodak flip-camera. They were aware that the end of the year would be when we would have a brief unit on digital photography but they were unaware that their photos, the very use of the donation, would double as their thank you notes to the people who afforded the gift.

The students created the photographs and the comments as a way of using media files to show their appreciation. We wanted those who so generously donated to our class to see the work in actuality.

To engage students in group activities seems always to benefit the learner. They share and grow by helping one another in the process. My three classes of thirty all took part be it in brainstorming ideas, snapping pictures, recording activities and manipulating the images.

We can not thank you enough and leave you with the knowledge that you made a difference in the education of almost 100 students.

Many, many thanks.”

With gratitude,

Ms. Sarjeant
