  • One Cart to Rule Them All

    First and foremost I would like to thank each and every one of your for your generous financial contribution and willingness to help students in need. Your thoughtfulness is greatly appreciated.

    By having this mobile art cart in my possession I will be able to travel from class to class if necessary. I can also use it as a common hub for necessary supplies which will allow the students easy access to materials. This cart can also be used to display still life items for my artists to draw from multiple angles.

    My students will now be able to have access to paper that reflects their specific complexions, and we all know that recognition and representation are both important factors for children to see.

Being the only art teacher in a K-8 (Title I) environment requires constant innovation, supplies, reference materials, books, and access to pertinent technology. Coming predominantly from at-risk neighborhoods, single parent households, and Spanish speaking families, Mater Academy students tend to be have less access to creative outlets, but still have the desire to express themselves creatively. It is my goal to provide my students with high quality art supplies that they may not have access to due to financial and familial constraints. Help me prove to my students that their desire to create is valid and worth investing in. Help me instill in them an appreciation for the arts, Econ's their knowledge of culture, and captivate their imaginations.

About my class
